Pumpkin Math (Day 2)

The students really enjoyed pulling out all of the pumpkin seeds from our pumpkins yesterday.  This was the first time in three years, I didn't have any students say they didn't want to put their hands in the pumpkins.  Some didn't want to use the spoons and just dove in with their hands.

With used the pumpkin seeds to make and check out estimating skills.  We also used them to practice some skip counting and multiplication.

Here are a few photos.

Drama Activity

Last week we played broken telephone with our supply teacher.  It started out as "Mr. Miller is super awesome."  and came out as "Mr. Wilson is awesome."

Math Class (1st Student Post)

Yesterday in math we were learning how to do pictographs, bar graphs, and broken line graphs.  Some were also starting to use Math Prodigy.  Math Prodigy is an online website for kids to learn more about math.

Notices home.

Dear parents,

Last night several notices went home with students.  Included in those items was the order forms for the students school pictures.  Please note the due date for their return: Oct. 26.  Also there was a letter regarding a communication App called "Remind".  This form requires some information from you, so please return it as soon as you are able.

Thank-you,
Brodie Wilson
